Serve → Who We Look For

We are committed to providing our student-athletes only the most passionate, committed, and promising young leaders. Through this experience, corps members will crystallize their commitment to public service and go on to become leaders in education, government, business, law, medicine, and more. In this effort, we have established an exceptionally rigorous, highly selective recruitment process.

We seek undergraduate and graduate students with exceptional leadership ability and a commitment to public service. These students have a demonstrated record of achievement academically, extracurricularly, and professionally. We look for students with the perseverance, resourcefulness, and work ethic to be effective. Many of our corps members have participated in athletics at the highest secondary and post-secondary levels. Most importantly, these people must share an unwavering passion for our purpose – closing the achievement gap. We are not merely looking for great coaches; we are searching for great educators.
