The annual cost to train and support corps members equals $1,010 per coach. In order to properly fund each corps member, we rely on the generosity of donors like you.
Our Progress
Since launching in April 2008, National Coaching Fellows has recruited, placed, and trained 16 corps members in eight partner schools throughout the Chicago area. These corps members have served as head coaches and assistant coaches in eight different sports. Six of these corps members began athletic programs at their schools. By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, these corps members will have expended 1,920 hours coaching and mentoring elementary and secondary school student-athletes in high-needs communities.
Ways to Give
Sponsor-A-Coach
Make a $1,000 donation to play a part in covering the costs of recruiting, selecting, training, and supporting a corps member. Sponsors have the opportunity to establish relationships with a corps member and student-athletes by visiting practices, assisting the team during games, and engaging in regular correspondence with the team during the season.
